How to Repair Brittle Automotive Wiring Connectors

Repair steps

1. Record the pin count and the colour of the old connector. SICMA colours are keying codes. Not every colour mates with every other colour.
2. Take clear photos of both sides before you order.
3. Remove the terminals from the old housing with the removal tool.
4. Crimp a new terminal onto each wire. Fit the correct wire seal for the wire size.
5. Push each terminal into the new housing until it clicks. Fit the secondary lock.
6. Plug the connector back in and test the circuit.
