Just a quick note for anyone noticing their Discovery 3’s front end behaving oddly at low speeds or when stopping at lights: I recently discovered that miscalibrating the air suspension can cause this. I thought I was on flat ground when doing the calibration—but apparently I was slightly off.
What I noticed was the front end dropping when coming to a stop, almost like the suspension was trying to “correct” itself. I suspect it was slightly over-inflating while moving, then adjusting down when slowing. Once I recalibrated on truly flat ground, everything settled and behaves much better.
A quick tip: if you’re seeing strange ride height changes or the car seems to be “hunting,” double-check your calibration—it really can make a difference.
On a related note, I also have a slight leak in the system that’s been tricky to locate. I’ve outlined my plan to sort that [here].
